Ciudad del Carmen, Campeche
Ciudad del Carmen is one of the major cities in the state. Some of the main attractions are: the Nuestra Señora del Carmen Church, the Guanal and Jesús Temples, the Casa de la Cultura and the old Victoriano Nieves hospital. Nearby in Isla Aguada, Puerto Real and Sabancuy, you can go fishing, swimming or diving. You'll also find hotels, restaurants, nightlife and various other tourist services.
Since it's located on the Gulf of Mexico it has a lot of great beaches for relaxation or water sports. The most popular beaches are Bahamita, Caracol, and North Beach, among others.
One of the most attractive locations in Campeche is the Malecón. This modern structure runs along the coast for 3.5 kilometers and provides a beautiful ocean view.
