of the other economic branches that are required to support the necessary

Agriculture
The largest economic activity after tourism is agriculture.
The main products are sugar cane, jalapeños, corn, sweet oranges,
rice, watermelon, beans, vegetables and fruit trees.

here as well. The resin from the chicozapote is extracted for use in
gum manufacturing.
Fishing
Fishing has great potential because this market has
not been fully developed. Local fisherman focus mainly on catching
lobster, clams and shrimp and have not fully taken advantage of the
wealth of species that exist here.
