In the year of 1957, this property was acquired by Mrs. Narcisa Mora and her husband Mr. Onofre Espinosa de los Montero Lozada. The Property was inherited by their daughter Mrs. Luz Maria Espinosa de los Montero Mora, whom in the memory of her parents and trying to carry on her childhood memories lived among these facilities, decided to tackle on the task to transform this property into El Refugio Hotel, with the support of her husband: Mr. Alonso Fernando Rivera Barrios.
It’s a pleasant and cozy place of rest that opened its doors since October 14th of 2004. Mrs. Luz Maria, landowner of the hotel, has personally taken care of every single guestroom design and premises in general; all decorated with a unique charm of rustic Mexican art.
The El Refugio Hotel was recently created, though, it’s in constant growth. Guests can make use of multiple amenities in our rooms such as: wireless internet service, telephone and rooms service 24 hours a day; in addition to that, it features, parking lot, restaurant – bar, shower rental for travelers, multi purpose rooms for up to 50 people (meetings, courses, reunions, etc.) and garden rental for parties (100 people). For your safety, we offer liability insurance for any incident including your car safety.

CANCELLATION POLICIES
Any reservation cancelled 15 or more days prior to the arrival date is subject to a 10% penalty charge off the reservation total.
Any reservation cancelled within 14 to 3 days prior to the arrival date is subject to a 1 night stay penalty charge.
Any reservation cancelled within 2 to 0 days prior to the arrival date or No Shows will not be refunded. No refunds apply on early departures.
Christmas, New Years Eve, Holidays:
Any reservation cancelled 31 or more days prior to the arrival date are subject to a 10% penalty charge off the reservation total.
Any reservation cancelled within 30 to 15 days prior to the arrival date is subject to a 1 night stay penalty charge.
Any reservation cancelled within 14 to 0 days prior to the arrival date or No Shows will not be refunded; No refunds apply on early departures. RESERVATION POLICIES
By completing your reservation, you grant us full authorization in writing to use the credit card number provided in order to execute payment, as well as confirming that you acknowledge and accept our reservation, payment and cancellation policies as well as delimitation of responsibilities. All reservations are subject to availability at the time of processing your request. The availability can not be guaranteed until completing the total payment. PAYMENT POLICIES
The reservation confirmation is subject to the bank authorization upon any credit card number that you provide. In case of payment issues, we will get in contact to the phone number that is provided by you. The reservation amount will be charged instantly to your credit card, and will show in your account status on behalf of: “UNIVISIT.COM”. For reservation payments, we accept Visa and Master Card Credit Cards. In case you don’t have any of the credit cards mentioned above, you can complete your payment by means of a bank transfer. For further information please contact one of our Travel Advisors. The rates published in our site will be priced in several currencies, which will be dully specified at the time of booking. If currency is other than Mexican peso (MXN) it is subject to be converted into Mexican Pesos (MXN) upon the current exchange rate. Please note that the amount that will appear in your credit card ticket may vary up to a 3% due to the international fluctuation of currency exchanges.
