San Felipe, Baja California
San Felipe is a commercial, tourist and fishing port with a great infrastructure for travelers. Sport fishing enthusiasts come to this port because yellow jack, sea bass and pargo can be caught in nearby waters. Corvina, flounder and dogfish can be found further out to sea.
San Felipe is the second most popular tourist destination in the state. Its low tides, tempered water, small bays and great tourist services make it a good choice. One of the most well-known attractions is the low tide which can sometimes go out as far as 600 meters. Tourists can walk in the smooth sand and see many shells and live snails.
Its proximity to the borders of California and Arizona make this port a very attractive destination spot for U.S. residents. It's close, but at the same time, it's far from the bustle of a large city. It makes an excellent destination for a weekend trip with its more than 50 miles of beautiful beaches.
The most well-known beaches of San Felipe are: Las Playas del Norte, Playa Bonita, Playa San Felipe and las Playas del Sur.
