The Baja 1000 is the most important, intense, difficult and longest race in the world. The only race that is longer in distance is the Dakar Rally, but the Baja 1000 is executed in one stage. This enormously increases the challenge for the drivers. This 1600 km race route over some of the most rough and rural road of the Mexican peninsula begins in Ensenada, Baja California and ends in La Paz, Baja California Sur.

Similar to the Baja 500, this race attracts equipment, fans and media from around the world. Logistically, the finish line is located in La Paz only once every two years. Ensenada is the start and finish line every other year. This race marks the closing of the Score International Championship, one of the most important racing organizations in the U.S.

Race Ready Ensenada - San Felipe 275
December
Ensenada and San Felipe

Independent of the Score International races, there are two off-road state championships. These championships also have many fans and several events throughout the year. The closing of these two championships is the joint race that finalizes the series for both. This is a great event for this popular sport.
