Events
Mexico City is one of the largest and most populated cities on the planet. It has dozens of theaters, hundreds of restaurants and bars, dozens of museums, an enormous amount of convention centers, cinemas, sports stadiums, etc. The list goes on and on. For that reason, it’s practically impossible to be bored in Mexico City. There are 60 events every day and 100 events on Sundays. We won’t list them all here.
Ollin Kan Tlalpan Festival
For many years, in the months of April and May, the Ollin Kan Tlalpan Festival has dedicated a night to African, Antillean, Hindu and Italian music.
The Manuel Enríquez International Forum of New Music
Another popular musical event in Mexico City is the Manuel Enríquez International Forum of New Music. Rich musical offerings are presented in the National Conservatory of Music for very special ears.
Vive Latino Festival
Another musical forum exists, but this one is more alternative and youthful. This festival presents the most recognized and popular Spanish rock groups in all of Latin America.
November 20th Parade
November 20th celebrates the day of the Mexican Revolution. This national festival includes a huge parade with a large number of students as well as corporations and the armed forces. The parade passes the Zócalo and the National Palace where the president salutes from the balcony to those who commemorate the beginning of the Mexican Revolution in 1910. This is one of the more impressive events because of its historical relevance.
