Barranca del Cobre is in the Tarahumara mountain range which is crossed by the Chihuahua - Pacific Railroad.
Barranca del Cobre is the general name given to a series of deep ravines and imposing mountains that rise to more than 3,000 meters in a landscape more extraordinary than Colorado Canyon.
No less than 50,000 indigenous Tarahumara people live here practicing their primitive form of agriculture.
