Given our magnificent lobby, you get the feeling of being in one of the finest hotels in Mexico: Lofty beamed ceilings, exquisite candle lights and old chairs that blend with the remarkable paintings décor taking over the entire walls. The restaurant alike has the same concept, just as the lounge does, with antique chairs and sofas just perfect for pre-dining cocktails. The meals served in our restaurants are just as superb as the place itself, not to mention our splendid location.

Our guestrooms are spread throughout spiral stairs on colorful tile floors. The rooms’ design may vary, which go from high-ceiling rooms located in our building’ front section to a more basic kind placed in the building backside. All however, providing a certain charm, slight superiority, yet equipped with modern facilities.

This property has passed down and managed by the same family for several generations, and even though there are different plans for future improvements, our approach is based on carrying on our historical, traditional personality. The great size of our stairs contrasts with the simplicity of our guestrooms. Find wooden furniture and antique lamps revealing a timeless quality; pictures all over the walls depicting Guanajuato’s past and reminding us how this building is still part of this city's history.

Book in advance and stay in those few rooms with patio doors onto De la Union Garden, or for those with a view down to a lovely street side. Many of our rooms only have windows to the building inner areas or no views, but you’ll be quite happy to spend as much time possible in the lounge and restaurant area or around the lively square, to then go back to your quiet room.

The rooms have no heater, but our beds give you warm blankets in case the evening gets chilly here in Guanajuato. A few rooms offer fans, but these are rarely ever required.

Choose from different room set-ups available for you, from standard rooms with one to three beds to suites with a sofa bed in the living room area. The only suite on the fourth floor has direct access to the rooftop terrace, with superb views over the city. Note that we don’t have elevators at the time, and all the other rooms are on the second and third floors.

In case the Hotel is oversold and cannot offer you the contracted service, to the client with a reservation from UNIVISIT, the Hotel by its own count will find adequate alternatives to supply the service contracted, that will meet or give better service than the original benefits contracted.
