Taxco, Guerrero

Taxco is the municipal head of Taxco de Alarcón and is nationally known for its production of silver and products made from this beautiful mineral. This city gained importance as a result of its mining activities which concentrated mainly on silver extraction. Today, silver mining has diminished to the point of disappearance, but Taxco is still known for its silverwork.
